Years ago I developed an obsession with primitive cultures and their way of life. I've always been a hunter and outdoorsman but was most attracted to the history of hunter / gatherer indigenous cultures. When I read about the way the Clovis people flintknapped huge bifaces of stone into spears and knives and used them for hunting the great beasts of the Ice Age like Mammoths and prehistoric buffalo I was hooked. I wanted to learn how to make the same tools from the same materials. After all what one man can do, another can do. Even though separated by 15,000 years of technological evolution.
